The cat’s meow

My mother in all her infinite wisdom and grace has decided I am, apparently, lonely living by myself, and has decided to personally try and fix this pressing issue.

That is to say, I came home from work to find a white, particularly hairy little cat sitting on my couch like it owned it and every piece of furniture around it. There is hair on everything, even though it has been here for three hours at most. It threw up on the carpet.

My mother didn’t see fit to actually supply me with any necessities other than the cat itself and a note wishing me well with my new ‘friend’. Having never even so much as considered the option of getting a cat, I’m somewhat at a loss. Please advise.

I've only every owned a dog but I'd sometimes take care of the cats at my Junior high~

Seeing as it looks like you'll be keeping him or her, I'd probably give them a name first~ Also a trip to the vet and picking up a litter box,cat food and toys might be helpful as well.

Sounds like you should find someone more "lonely" to give them that cat. That or get a lint roller and just roll with it.

My sisters have been taking care of a litter of kittens that had been found around the Fudomine grounds. I could ask them for some advice on what you could do, what the cat needs, etc, if you are interested. Have you named him or her? What do they look like? Cats are a bit temperamental and they tend to enjoy solitude. Does your place get a lot of sun? I imagine you might find the animal sleeping in a sunny spot on occasion. They like being warm, but not too warm. Have you every played Neko Atsume? It's not the same as owning a cat, but they are frustrating creatures, much like cats in real life. Good luck Ikuto-san.
