It takes one...

I’ve formally signed on to a new production today, despite my own reluctance to accept the role initially. It’s a bit different from my usual, but I suppose it isn’t all bad to challenge myself a little.
In the meanwhile, how about a little test to get to know all of you a little better? ✨
If you were an actor, what type would you be?

Your best roles would be:
Character
You are the actor every other actor respects most. You have the talent and dedication to play the tough roles and the intrinsic understanding of people that will help you play them perfectly.
I don't know about this but that's my result.

Date: 2018-09-25 09:05 pm (UTC)I'm just a lowly psyc-student~I guess maybe that has something to do with my result. I was a part of a haunted house once as a ghost, that's about as much acting as I have on my resume. :b

Date: 2018-09-26 02:18 pm (UTC)Don’t underestimate the psychological aspect of acting, An-chan~ ✨ You may already have a leg up on some freshly debuted ducklings with a decent grip on the human mind.

Date: 2018-09-26 05:47 pm (UTC)I suppose but I still have quite a few yearsto go before I can say I actually know something, just going down the basics at the moment.

Date: 2018-09-26 06:08 pm (UTC)Everyone has to start somewhere, and somewhere should usually include the basics. It does make me curious, what is it about psychology that made you decide to study it?

Date: 2018-09-26 06:40 pm (UTC)Probably from my own experiences as an athlete, I've always found it interesting to see how people ways of thinking influenced how the ended up playing. That's just one reason but I'd like to specialize in sports psychology when I'm done with my general studies.

Date: 2018-09-25 07:41 pm (UTC)I am the dramatic type, according to the quiz.
'Dramatic actors really dig deep to play their roles, but they have fun too. These roles are the ones that really take over when you get into character. It's like living an entirely different life.'
It's a fair enough assessment. I do prefer my roles to be the type that makes for a bit of drama, which would be why many of my roles are in productions that attract a largely female audience. I'm guessing romantic dramas aren't really your style, though.

I find this to be wholly fitting. Does this describe you as well or are you more of an everyman type?

Date: 2018-09-25 07:46 pm (UTC)Your results speak well for your versatility, Yuushi-kun. You don't mind if I call you that, do you? It gets confusing with both yourself and your cousin about. Either way, perhaps you should give acting a shot. ✨

Date: 2018-09-25 08:34 pm (UTC)Oh, not at all. Though, I should hope you wouldn't confuse me with my dear cousin. Thank you.

I think your quiz is broken, Kimi-san. If I were an actor, I would definitely be a tree. Or a rock. Or possibly someone who makes sound effects into a megaphone backstage.

Date: 2018-09-26 02:14 pm (UTC)Maybe one of those dramatically sad willow trees, or a particularly vibrand red maple tree? Or a very shapely rock?

Your best roles would be:
Romantic Lead
Assuming you LIKE the actor you're playing opposite, this kind of role can be lots of fun! Romantic leads get all of the glory too!

Date: 2018-09-27 07:08 pm (UTC)Now all your dancing production needs is a romantic subplot, hmm? I can imagine you shine across someone you have good chemistry with. What do you think, Kuranosuke-kun, would you get flustered playing a love scene? ✨

Date: 2018-09-30 12:10 am (UTC)I would probably fair better on stage than on screen - I have a voice and presence that carries. But, to answer your test:
Dramatic

Date: 2018-10-04 07:31 pm (UTC)I don't doubt that you do, but I also don't doubt you'd film well, Keigo-kun. Either way, it looks like we share a type. ✨

Date: 2018-09-30 12:22 am (UTC)Hm~ I donno about this...
Comedic
Not only are you funny, but you have the very rare gift of perfect timing. Getting a full audience to laugh requires instinct and quick relationship-building, both of which you've got!

Date: 2018-10-04 07:29 pm (UTC)I think it suits you. You've always had an impressive talent for making people smile. ✨

Date: 2018-09-30 12:31 am (UTC)I'm Shiraishi Yukari, by the way. Shiraishi Kuranosuke's younger sister. :)
I don't know how to feel about this. I'm sure it is a legitimate acting style, but I feel like I'm being criticized.
Ingenue
Whether or not you are, your overall vibe is youthful and somewhat innocent. Modern ingenue roles are more of a nod to the stock character; most modern ingenues can (or figure out a way to) take care of themselves. Examples would be the role of Charlotte in 'Sex and the City,' Chris Klein in anything, Zooey Deschanel, etc. A classic example would be Audrey Hepburn.

Date: 2018-10-04 07:27 pm (UTC)Kuranosuke-kun's younger sister is as cute as he is~ ✨
It's a popular trope with a lot of roles available for it, as long as you look at the more current drama adaption instead of the more classical theatre production stereotype. I can see how it might seem a little of an unflattering stereotype though.
